Ahlsell has once again been awarded a platinum rating by EcoVadis, one of the world’s leading platforms for the assessment of the sustainability of companies. The prestigious platinum rating means that Ahlsell performs in the top 1% of the 100,000 companies evaluated globally each year.
EcoVadis assesses companies based on their work in four areas: environment, business ethics, labour and human rights, and sustainable sourcing. Ahlsell works continuously to develop and strengthen its sustainability work, and the high ranking with 82 points is a result of this long-term commitment at a time when the demands for transparency and accountability are constantly increasing.
– We are very pleased and proud to have once again been awarded Platinum ratings, showing that we are making progress in sustainability while meeting increasing demands from customers, suppliers and other stakeholders. EcoVadis’ assessment is an important confirmation of our long-term work and motivates us to continue to take responsibility for building a more sustainable society, says Christina Lindbäck, Chief Sustainability Officer, Ahlsell AB.
Ahlsell has high ambitions and works to continuously improve sustainability work, by managing risks and opportunities, delivering on high targets and meeting new requirements. In 2024, an important step was taken when the company joined Science Based Targets and set climate targets in line with the Paris Agreement.
– Sustainability requirements are increasing, and so are our ambitions. We work purposefully to reduce our climate impact, strengthen our supply chain and ensure responsible business ethics. By constantly developing our offering, we can help our customers, suppliers and business partners achieve their own sustainability goals and together create a more responsible value chain including new business opportunities, says Christina Lindbäck, Chief Sustainability Officer, Ahlsell AB.
EcoVadis’ global network has so far analysed more than 130,000 companies that are rated and given a score from 0 to 100. Ahlsell received its first assessment in 2016. This year, Ahlsell increased from 77 to 82 out of a total of 100 possible points.
