Rune, with a long career within Schneider Electric, is currently responsible for the Schneider Electric Nordic and Baltic businesses with a turnover of 10 billion NOK.

With a proven ability to successfully lead and manage a business in both good and tough times Rune's skills, together with his previous experience in the wholesale industry, will contribute to a more offensive and better performing company.

The acquisition of Elgross'n i Norr AB strengthens our position and profile in the northern part of Sweden and is a good supplement to the acquirement of NEA Elmaterial AB made in September.

Ahlsell's acquisition of NEA Elmateriel AB

Ahlsell and Närkes Elektriska AB (NEA) have signed an agreement meaning that Ahlsell is acquiring the shares in NEA Elmateriel AB, one of NEA's fully owned subsidiaries.

NEA Elmateriel AB is an electrical wholesaler with a turnover of SEK 850 m and is established in approximately 40 locations throughout Sweden. The customers are primarily industrial companies.

"Through this acquisition, we are significantly reinforcing Ahlsell's presence and position within the electrical equipment range in Sweden. Our operations complement one another well and we view the combined unit as a strong platform for continued expansion," says Göran Näsholm, CEO of Ahlsell AB.

Per Sjöstrand, CEO of the NEA Group, remarked that the decision to sell the operations to Ahlsell was taken following a competitive process with a number of interested parties, in which Ahlsell presented the best offer overall. The price has certainly been important, but another decisive factor was Ahlsell's desire and ability to be a proactive future partner for the owners of the NEA Group (the Dutch company Imtech N.V.) regarding their Nordic operations within the Electrical and HVAC field.

A final agreement is subject to approval by the Swedish Competition Authority.

An agreement has been reached with Norwegian company Stream AS wherein Ahlsell sells 100% of the shares in Ahlsell Oil & Gas AS.

The company is a key player in its product field, valves and pipes for the Norwegian offshore oil industry, with an annual turnover of around SEK 350 million, corresponding to about 7% of Ahlsell's operations in Norway.

For some time, we have defined this area as non-core business for Ahlsell. After a number of parties showed great interest in the company, this past autumn we decided to initiate a structured sales process which ultimately ended with Stream AS providing the best overall offer.

Stream AS is a company with a focus on the same market segment, but with other products in its portfolio.

There is much industrial logic to the deal and the company will be better placed to develop, says CEO Göran Näsholm in a statement.

Johan Nilsson, 47 years old, will enter into the CEO position for Ahlsell Sverige AB starting August 15th.

Currently, Johan Nilsson is the COO of the Sanitec group, one of Europe's leading players within sanitary products. Before that he was the CEO of IFÖ Sanitär and IDO, the Nordic companies of the Sanitec group.

- It is pleasing that we have succeeded in recruiting a person as well established and knowledgeable as Johan to the Ahlsell group. Johan will, with his 15 years of experience of the Nordic and European Heating & Plumbing trade industry, enhance the competence of the Ahlsell group management within several critical areas, says the current CEO and Group President Göran Näsholm. Ahlsell AB acquires the Finnish company TKP-tools. The company is a distributor of Tools & Machinery as well as other industrial products. TKP-tools has a total annual turnover of approximately SEK 150 million and about 45 employees.

"After the acquisition, Ahlsell's total turnover within the product range of Tools & Machinery on the Finnish market will exceed SEK 500 million. We are thus establishing ourselves as the leading sector player on this market too", says Göran Näsholm, President and CEO of Ahlsell.

The customers of TKP-tools are mostly large industrial manufacturers and the company has nine outlets in south-east Finland, in the Helsinki area as well as in Kouvola, Joensuu and Lappeenranta. The company is owned by the Broman Group.

Ameronic consists of five companies and is owned by Jukka Kivinen and Vesa Viitasaari. Its main customers are within the manufacturing sector and it has five outlets in south-west Finland, located within the Turku area and districts to the north.

Our total turnover within the product range of Tools & Machinery on the Finnish market now exceeds SEK 400 million." says Göran Näsholm, President and CEO of Ahlsell.

Following the acquisition, Ahlsell will have access to new markets in Raisio, Rauma and Uusikaupunki. In Turku and Pori the establishments of Ahlsell and Ameronic will be co-ordinated.
